Baseball Game Preview: Middletown Blue Dragons vs. Plainville Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Middletown will face off against Plainville. The Blue Dragons will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Middletown has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 17.

Things were looking good for Middletown after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 12-2 to Plainville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Dragons have suffered against the Blue Devils since May 4, 2017.

Middletown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicco Nardi, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Frankie Randazzese also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Plainville, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.
