Baseball Recap: Trinity Episcopal Has No Trouble Against Catholic

After only two runs in their last matchup, Trinity Episcopal made sure to put some runs up on the board against Catholic on Saturday. Trinity Episcopal put the hurt on Catholic with a sharp 17-6 victory. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Evan Gohlke looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Hartley, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Taegan Logan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Trinity Episcopal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Catholic only posted a batting average of .190.

Trinity Episcopal's record now sits at 4-1. As for Catholic, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

As for Catholic, they will head out to square off against Norfolk Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Catholic is facing Norfolk Collegiate at the right time seeing as Norfolk Collegiate is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
