Massac County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Herrin Tigers 9-2. Considering the Patriots have won three games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Zack Krueger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Musselman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Wyatt Jeffords was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Massac County pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Herrin, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Massac County will welcome Murphysboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Herrin, they will head out to challenge Johnston City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
