Volleyball Recap: Oxford Find Success

Oxford had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Newton County Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Newton County's loss came despite strong showings from Reese Thoms and Emma Alford. Thoms had seven digs and four aces, while Alford had seven digs and two aces.

Newton County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Oxford has already played their next game (against Center Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Newton County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lafayette on the 2nd.
