Basketball Recap: Centre County Christian Academy Victorious

Centre County Christian Academy won the last time they faced Blair County Christian and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Centre County Christian Academy made off with a 46-45 victory over the Blair County Christian Bobcats.

Despite the loss, Blair County Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aidyn Lundy shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lundy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Marucci, who posted 11 points.

Centre County Christian Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Blair County Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Centre County Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Great Commission at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Blair County Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Bedford County CIA at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
