Basketball Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

DeSoto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Farmington Knights, falling 68-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 81-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Logan Schaupert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Farmington, going 5-for-11 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Schaupert has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Cannon Roth was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

DeSoto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farmington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-53 victory against Notre Dame on the 26th.
