Softball Game Preview: Meadowdale Lions vs. Belmont Bison

The Meadowdale Lions will square off against the Belmont Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Meadowdale's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Belmont two weeks ago.

For Belmont's part, the team relied heavily on Megan Leonard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Makenna Mcdowell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Belmont's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Meadowdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
