Dynamic duo of Amarion Sanders and Jamichael Green lead South Delta to victory

Recap: South Delta Bulldogs vs. Simmons Blue Devils

The South Delta Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 65-54 win over Simmons. That's two games straight that South Delta has won by exactly 11 points.

Leading South Delta to victory were Amarion Sanders and Jamichael Green. Sanders scored 23 points along with six assists, while Green dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Sutton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

South Delta has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Simmons, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Delta and Shaw will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Shaw is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Simmons on the road again on Monday and play against Leland at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
