Volleyball Recap: Draper APA Beats Carbon for Their Seventh Straight Win

Draper APA barely beat Carbon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dinos on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Draper APA never let Carbon on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 29-27.

Draper APA was led to victory by Evie Martinez and Paisley Le. Martinez had 14 digs and three assists, while Le had five digs and one assist. Those three assists gave Martinez a new career-high.

Draper APA was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matchups.

Draper APA's record now sits at 9-2. As for Carbon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Draper APA will take on American Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carbon, they will face off against Richfield at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
