Baseball Game Preview: Los Banos Tigers vs. Golden Valley Cougars

For the second straight game, Los Banos will face off against Golden Valley. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Los Banos turned things around against Golden Valley on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars a 10-0 shutout. The Tigers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th (when they won 11-1).

Owen Baffuno tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Gavin (Gabriel) Estrada was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kolton Kanemoto, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Golden Valley is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17. As for Los Banos, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
