Baseball Recap: South Newton Rebels vs. Frontier Falcons

South Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-6 to the Frontier Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-7 on Tuesday.

Duke Duncan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landen Schwartz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

South Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Frontier, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Coincidentally, South Newton and Frontier will both be playing Rensselaer Central the next time they take the field. The Falcons will host the Bombers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rebels will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
