Football Recap: Shalhevet Firehawks vs. Providence Pioneers
On Thursday, the Shalhevet Firehawks didn't have too much trouble with the Providence Pioneers at home as they won 22-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Firehawks.
Despite the defeat, Providence saw an underclassman step up: Nikki Villosis picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Villosis got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 60 yards.
Shalhevet's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Providence, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Shalhevet will challenge Brentwood School at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Providence, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
