Volleyball Recap: Cupertino Comes Up Short

Cupertino lost against Monta Vista on April 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pioneers lost 3-0 to the Matadors. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Monta Vista scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.

Cupertino's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Monta Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cupertino will challenge rival Los Gatos at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Monta Vista is set to square off against their familiar foe Harker at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
