Marion-Franklin never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Independence 76ers as they made off with a 20-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the 76ers: they've now won three in a row.

Rylee Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Taylor was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Dexter, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Caitlynn McGee, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Marion-Franklin now has a winning record of 2-1.

Marion-Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 18-1 win against West on the 1st. As for Independence, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-0 loss against Briggs on the 1st.
