Softball Recap: Glen Rose Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Glen Rose entered their tilt with Graham on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Steers by a score of 5-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Marki Sandlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Libby Turner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Addison Treppa was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Glen Rose's record is now 16-10-1. As for Graham, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Glen Rose will face off against rival Mineral Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Graham is set to take on their familiar foe Brock at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
