Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boerne-Champion). Everything went their way against the Wagner Thunderbirds on Tuesday as the Boerne-Champion Chargers made off with a 7-1 win. The score was close at the half, but the Chargers pulled away in the second half with five goals.

With the victory, Boerne-Champion broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-12-5. As for Wagner, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Looking ahead, Boerne-Champion will head out to square off against Tivy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Tivy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Boerne-Champion surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wagner, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Alamo Heights on the 12th.
