Baseball Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short

Douglas lost against Bishop Manogue back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 16-3 to the Miners. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Douglas saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Ovard, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Bishop Manogue, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

While Douglas had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
