Softball Recap: Frontier Regional Find Success

While Frontier Regional's win against South Hadley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Hawks skirted past the Tigers 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Raine Wonsey made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Those 18 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

Wonsey wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Delaney 'Lu' Fifield, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Frontier Regional lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Frontier Regional moved to 11-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for South Hadley, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

Frontier Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Hadley, they will square off against Monson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
