Softball Recap: Brackenridge Eagles vs. Jefferson Mustangs

Brackenridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to the Jefferson Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 19-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mia Vargas and Larissa Garcia did some serious damage despite the final result: Vargas went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Garcia scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Garcia has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Barajas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
