Soccer Game Preview: West Plains vs. Midland Legacy

The West Plains Wolves will face off against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Midland Legacy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when West Plains really get things going. West Plains' defense stepped up to hand Palo Duro a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Wolves, who have now won three matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Palo Duro with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mya Bartlett (2), Isabelle Smith, and Triniti Fernandez.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Midland Legacy was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Lubbock-Cooper could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Midland Legacy's draw makes their record 1-3-1 this season. As for West Plains, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-1.
