Volleyball Recap: Hatley Comes Up Short

Hatley came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Belmont Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

While Hatley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-18.

Hatley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Belmont, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Hatley will face off against Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Belmont, they will challenge Itawamba Agricultural at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
