Recap: Fayetteville Lions vs. Smithville Tigers        
        
		
            
 The Fayetteville Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Smithville on the road  and fell  61-34. Fayetteville found out winning isn't easy when  you  make seven fewer threes than your opponent.
 Despite the loss, Fayetteville still got an impressive performance from   Peyton Jurecka, who  scored four points along with seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Fayetteville  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Smithville found their leader in underclassman  Sydnie Brenner, who  scored 26 points along with six  steals and five  assists. Brenner is absolutely dominating the  steal category: she's  posted at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.  Arabella Gutierrez was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 13 points and 11  rebounds.
 Fayetteville has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost seven of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Smithville,  the  victory  got them back to even at 5-5.
 Fayetteville will be playing at home against Buckholts at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Smithville is on the road again  on Tuesday and play against Caldwell at 6:15  p.m.  on December 12th. Caldwell has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
