Basketball Recap: Detroit Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Detroit Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hamtramck Cosmos 64-17. While losing is never fun, the WOLVES can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 741st, while the Cosmos are ranked 369th).

Detroit Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Hamtramck, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

Detroit Cristo Rey will face off against Bishop Foley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Detroit Cristo Rey is facing Bishop Foley at the right time seeing as Bishop Foley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hamtramck, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
