Volleyball Preview: Holly Bronchos vs. Corunna Cavaliers
After both having extra time off, the Holly Bronchos and the Corunna Cavaliers will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Last Wednesday, Holly sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Swartz Creek. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bronchos.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Corunna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Brandon 3-2.
Corunna had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 18-16.
Maddie Brown was the offensive standout of the game as she had 16 digs.
Holly's victory bumped their record up to 6-13-1. As for Corunna, the win got them back to even at 15-15.
