Nate Gaggin and Kevaughn Jackson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Loyola. The connection went for 55 yards, the longest such play in Michigan Independent this season.
University Liggett's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gaggin threw for 203 and one touchdown and Jackson had 122 yards receiving. On the ground Gaggin chipped in 42 yards. Stephen Benard helped University Liggett's passing attack out by catching six balls for 52 yards.
University Liggett's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gaggin has thrown for 2290 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Drew Jerome has 47 catches for 751 yards. Gaggin also leads the league in rushing with 1012 yards.
Lutheran made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,542 from 12,600.
