Maverick Gardner was a major factor in Moore's victory over Deer Creek on Friday. Gardner rushed for 116 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 154 yards while completing 93.8% of his passes. The performance also marked the most rushing touchdowns (two) he has had since back in September of 2024.

Gardner and Moore are taking a road trip to square off against Norman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time these two faced off, Gardner and Co. were forced to settle for a 42-35 loss.
