Lake Placid dropped their record down to 11-5 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the North Warren Central Cougars, falling 15-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bombers have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Lake Placid saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarrett Mihill, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

As for North Warren Central, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5-1. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On North Warren Central's side, Wyatt Jennings made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. Jennings has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for North Warren Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, CJ Barlow was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maceo Matson, who went 3-for-6 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Warren Central, they will square off against Parishville-Hopkinton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
