North Marion faced Bridgeport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. North Marion's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rysa Besedich and Adalie Besedich scored both of North Marion's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Bridgeport, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Marion will head out to challenge Fairmont Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
