Soccer Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

If Richmond was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Hoke County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Richmond Raiders fell just short of the Asheboro Blue Comets by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Richmond's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Asheboro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Richmond has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Union Pines on the 14th. As for Asheboro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against East Davidson on the 17th.
