Football Recap: Chattahoochee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chattahoochee fell victim to Lanier and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Longhorns and fell 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Longhorns are ranked 80th).

Dominic Larocca had a dynamite game For Lanier., rushing for 40 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 141 yards and one touchdown. Those 40 rushing yards gave Larocca a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keyon Stemmons, who rushed for 86 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Chattahoochee is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Lanier, their record now sits at 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Chattahoochee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roswell at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Lanier, they will venture away from home to face off against Milton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 8.8 points per game this season, so the Longhorns' offense will have their work cut out for them.
