Basketball Game Preview: Costa Mesa Mustangs vs. Century Centurions

The Costa Mesa Mustangs will head out to face off against the Century Centurions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Costa Mesa has given up an average of 74.1 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Costa Mesa is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They had to suffer through a 90-46 loss at the hands of Woodrow Wilson. The Mustangs have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Century was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past NOVA Academy 59-19. The win continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Costa Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Century, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Things could have been worse for Costa Mesa, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to Century in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
