It was a good run, but Nederland unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Barbers Hill Eagles by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Morgan Barron spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Nederland's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Barbers Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 24 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-3 record this season.

Nederland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barbers Hill, they are taking a road trip to challenge Katy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
