Football Recap: Wheat Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wheat Ridge extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 46-7 loss at the hands of the Coal Ridge Titans. The Farmers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Jyles Ballenger threw for 45 yards on six of 11 attempts. Isaiah Osei was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

As for Coal Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four contests by 36 points or more so far this season.

Dylan Miller was his usual excellent self, throwing for 259 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Evan Dujka made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Wheat Ridge has already played their next game, a 47-7 defeat against Pomona on the 3rd. As for Coal Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-8 victory against Moffat County on the 3rd.
