Baseball Recap: Dillon Takes a Loss

Dillon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aynor Blue Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 two weeks ago.

Dillon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Aynor, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon will take on Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Aynor, they will face off against Johnsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Jackets 3.9, the Flashes 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
