Basketball Recap: Blacksher Takes a Loss

Blacksher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Central Lions 65-38. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-38 last Friday.

Central found their leader in sophomore Jvyion Gordon, who went 8 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points. The matchup was Gordon's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Iyanis Wallace, who posted ten points.

Blacksher's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Blacksher has already played their next contest (against Millry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central has already played their next game, a 73-47 win against Booker T. Washington Magnet on the 29th.
