While Fairfax Christian's win against Veritas Collegiate Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fairfax Christian Cardinals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans on Thursday, sneaking past 75-72. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won six games in a row.

Veritas Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Marcqell Freeman, who went 10-for-16 to rack up 27 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Wray, who shot 62% from beyond the arc en route to 24 points.

Fairfax Christian's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points over those games. As for Veritas Collegiate Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-9.
