Preview: Bruce Red Raiders vs. Winter Warriors
Bruce is 10-0 against Winter since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bruce Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Winter Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Bruce suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Flambeau by a score of 63-61. Bruce has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Winter can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clayton 79-48 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Winter who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Gunnar Greuel, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 24 rebounds. Greuel is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Thompson, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds.
Bruce has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Winter, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.
Bruce beat Winter 66-58 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Bruce repeat their success, or does Winter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
