Montrose has gone 7-1 against Ovid-Elsie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Marauders at 4:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Montrose's offense. They lost 14-0 to New Lothrop on Monday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ovid-Elsie, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over Lakewood on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Marauders considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Kathryn Thornton and Haley McClung did most of the damage at the plate: Thornton went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run, while McClung went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits McClung has posted since back in May of 2024. Isabella Phillips also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ovid-Elsie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ovid-Elsie's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Montrose, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Montrose was able to grind out a solid victory over Ovid-Elsie in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
