Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Takes a Loss

Mendon Unity fell victim to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Not much got past Skylor Goudschaal, who gave up just a hit to keep West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] off the board. Goudschaal has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Mendon Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mendon Unity and West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] will both be playing Camp Point Central the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
