Baseball Recap: Dadeville Comes Up Short

Dadeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 on Thursday.

Jacob Patterson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Dadeville's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lee-Scott Academy beat Dadeville by a score of 10-5 later that day.
