Football Recap: Schuyler Takes a Loss

Schuyler had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 0-6 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 76-9 loss at the hands of the Scotus Shamrocks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 56-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Marcos Gomez threw for 100 yards and one TD. Nolan Andel was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards and one touchdown.

As for Scotus, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Thomas Settje continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 163 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Carson Wessel was another key player, rushing for eight yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Schuyler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-0 loss against O'Neill on the 10th. As for Scotus, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-3 defeat against Lakeview on the 10th.
