Football Recap: Schuyler Takes a Loss

Schuyler extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were outmatched by the Scotus Shamrocks and fell 76-9. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Shamrocks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Scotus, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Thomas Settje, who rushed for 163 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Kade Sliva also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Schuyler will take on O'Neill on Friday. As for Scotus, they will square off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Vikings' defense has only allowed six points per game this season, so the Shamrocks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
