It's playoff time, and Hialeah Gardens had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Goleman Gators a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Gladiators as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Among those leading the charge was Isabelle Castrillo, who rushed for 46 yards and one TD, and also threw for 138 yards and one touchdown. She didn't just play on offense: she also made three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes.

Another reason for the win was Hialeah Gardens' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Destin Alarcon. She also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Hialeah Gardens' record is now 10-3. As for Goleman, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Hialeah Gardens didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-0 victory against Doral Academy on the 16th. Goleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
