El Modena hasn't had much luck against Esperanza recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The El Modena Vanguards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Esperanza Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

El Modena is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-32 loss at the hands of Brea Olinda. The Vanguards were down 50-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Esperanza unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pacifica by a score of 61-58.

El Modena's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Esperanza, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.
