Basketball Game Preview: Edison Tigers vs. Hoover Patriots

Two dominant guards in Dereon King and Keon Hill are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Edison Tigers will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Hoover Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Edison duked it out withSan Joaquin Memorial on Friday. Edison was beaten by San Joaquin Memorial 95-45. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hoover, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past Fresno 48-45. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hoover's win came from a few key players Edison will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hill, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cesar Juarez, who had 14 points.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
