Softball Recap: Wisconsin Lutheran Takes Down Waukesha North in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wisconsin Lutheran walked away with it. They skirted past the Waukesha North Northstars 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their 11th in a row.

Waukesha North's batters probably weren't too happy with Sydney Vitangcol, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (she gave up two walks). Vitangcol has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brooklyn Haag was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reese Grudzielanek, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Wisconsin Lutheran hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive contests.

Wisconsin Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Waukesha North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Wisconsin Lutheran nor Waukesha North have any future games scheduled.
