Soccer Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short

East Henderson lost against Smoky Mountain back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, East Henderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Smoky Mountain are ranked 92nd).

East Henderson dropped their record down to 4-8-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Smoky Mountain, their record now sits at 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Henderson will square off against rival Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Smoky Mountain is set to take on their familiar foe North Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
