Edwardsville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Springfield Senators with a sharp 15-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Edwardsville pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season.

Edwardsville will take on Waterloo at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Springfield, they will square off against Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crimsons have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
