Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Zyir Johnson and Markevious Foster Leads Hillcrest over Bluff City

Hillcrest won the last time they faced Bluff City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Gray Wolves with a sharp 48-26 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Hillcrest, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kurt Westbrook, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Markevious Foster.

Hillcrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zyir Johnson and Foster. Hillcrest received some extra help from Corterion Davison, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory got Hillcrest back to even at 5-5. As for Bluff City, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor the Gray Wolves have any future games scheduled.
