Softball Recap: Westerly Falls Short Against Ranked East Providence

Westerly faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell 10-5 to the Townies. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Townies earlier this season, when they won 10-7.

Westerly saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Poole, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Westerly has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for East Providence, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

As of now, neither Westerly nor the Townies have any future games scheduled.
